Many adults have extreme anxiety when they think of the dentist. Rather than seeing the dentist on a regular basis, they avoid the dentist completely. As a result their dental health deteriorates and treatment to fix the damages becomes costly. Here at Village Family Dental, you can trust us to help make you feel comfortable and safe!
Here is how you can overcome your dental anxieties:
- Pick a dentist that is licensed in treating dental anxieties
- Bring a friend or family member for support
- Schedule a FREE consultation with Dr. Paul
- Choose from a number of sedation options
- Wake up to a healthier mouth
IS IT SAFE?
Absolutely! Dr. Paul is licensed to perform oral conscious sedation. He is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support using advanced emergency medical kits, patient monitoring equipment and highly trained staff. Of the dozens of sedation cases performed, Dr. Paul has had 100% success!
WILL IT HURT?
Not at all! We use a powerful custom made topical anesthetic combined with a gentle touch therefore the entire process effortless and simple.
I’M SCARED OF THE DENTIST
First of all, you’re not alone. There are a large number of adults that fear the dentist. Dr. Paul is licensed to use multiple types of oral conscious sedation techniques in combination with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to help alleviate your anxieties. Finally, at Village Family Dental, you can trust us to help make you feel comfortable and safe!
WHAT TO EXPECT
First of all, we ask that you bring in a supportive friend or family member during the consultation with Dr. Paul. Why bring someone? Dr. Paul prefers an extra set of ears. After choosing the desired sedation option and scheduling an appointment we ask that you have a companion drive you to the office on the day of the appointment. Your companion will enjoy snacks and refreshments while you get tucked in soft warm blankets, watch TV or listen to calming music in the dark. As a result of oral sedation, you will be relaxed and have the ability to respond to commands. In conclusion of the visit, we will hydrate you with electrolytes, escort you out in a wheelchair to your companion’s ride. Your companion will be given extra electrolytes for you to hydrate throughout the day. Finally, you wake up the next day with a healthier mouth and a positive experience. 🙂
WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY
“My daughter has never felt so relaxed at any dental office.” – C.P. (May 2017)
*Individual results may vary from person to person. Since not everyone is a candidate for oral sedation, an initial consultation and necessary x-rays are required. X-rays may be additional fee. A medical consultation may be needed. Sedation is available for ages 17 and over only.
